Southern Highlands Printmakers

The Southern Highlands Printmakers are based in the Southern Highlands in New South Wales, approximately 120kms south west of Sydney. The group formed in 1993 to enable printmakers to exhibit as a group and also for them to expand their printmaking practice by arranging workshops and exchanging information.

Their first exhibition was held in 1994 at the Sturt Gallery in Mittagong. Since then they have exhibited at Campbelltown, Wollongong, Goulburn and Shoalhaven Regional Galleries.

At present there are thirty three members, many of whom have received a number of prestigious awards. Their practice covers the printmaking areas of etching, drypoint, screen printing, woodcut, linocut, digital printing, collograph and monoprint.
